Bobcat Sales Cadet
Bobcat is a market leader in compact construction equipment. Bobcat is Australia's top selling Skid-Steer and Track Loader brand, and has a leading range of Compact Excavators, Telehandlers, Utility Vehicles and attachments. Clark Equipment is the Bobcat distributor in Australia, and we are expanding our sales teams across Australia! We sell to a vibrant customer base, from small-business owner-operators, to large civil contractors and government bodies. 

Clark Equipment are seeking energetic and driven sales cadets that have the right attitude, drive, and determination to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive environment. This position gives you the opportunity to learn about the Bobcat equipment range we sell and the customers we support, in a mentored cadetship within the Bobcat sales department. This position will provide you with the skills to succeed within the business, with opportunities to advance within the sales department and beyond. 

Energy, attitude, drive and a passion to succeed are the core attributes that are necessary to succeed in this role. You may have studied business or marketing at a university, have a trade background from TAFE, or be a school-leaver eager to get your hands dirty and make a start! 

The Position
While learning from the Bobcat sales team, you will have a number of duties and responsibilities;

  • Support the sales team throughout the sales process - assist with handovers, registrations, pre-delivery inspections and more.
  • Handle sales opportunities - this is your introduction to sales, as you welcome walk-in business, follow up incoming enquiries, and transact sales.
  • Develop sales opportunities - develop your own network of prospects and customers.
  • Mentored learning - you will learn the skills to succeed from the best construction sales teams in the business, backed up with a variety of online and hands-on training. 

What we are looking for
We will give you the knowledge and skills, and will be looking for the right attitiude;

  • Energy, positivity and passion.
  • Willingness to help as part of a team, and to use your initiative in ensuring a customer is satisfied.
  • Results-driven, with the determination to succeed in a competetive sales environment.
  • Comfortable using technology and social media platforms to communicate.
  • You may come from a varity of backgrounds; school-leaver, TAFE, or university.
  • Any experience in sales or with construction equipment would be an advantage.
  • Any relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage (but not a requirement).
